Why I Write

I'm not writing from the other side of anything. I've lived through failure, financial hardship, and the slow, unglamorous work of rebuilding, and I'm still in the middle of most of it. These books came out of that, not out of having it all figured out. 

If you're tired of pretending everything's fine, or tired of advice from people who've never actually been where you are, this is written for you instead.
